xlsread8 - Read Excel spreadsheets natively (v97-2003; no ActiveX !). With xlsread8 you can natively read Excel spreadsheets in the current format (97-2003). Native means, that *no* ActiveX server (Excel) needs to be loaded (or even be installed).Supported calls:- [RES HEAD] = XLSREAD8( 'FILENAME' )- [RES HEAD] = XLSREAD8( 'FILENAME', HEADER )- [RES HEAD] = XLSREAD8( 'FILENAME', HEADER, 'CLASS' )- [RES HEAD] = XLSREAD8( 'FILENAME', HEADER, 'CLASS', SHEET )- SHEETNAMES = XLSREAD8( 'FILE', -99 )The data can be retrieved as double (default), struct or cell according to the CLASS argument. HEADER says if a header and/or columnheader exist. Default is columnheader only. With a string or an index you can indicate the SHEET from which should be read. If omitted, the first sheet is taken. The last call is handy to retrieve all the SHEETNAMES from the Excel spreadsheet. Requirements: · MATLAB Release: R13
